Matt Ellis

I sit down with my friend and fellow coworker Matt Ellis.

Matt and I worked at McLeodUSA, a red hot telecom startup in the late 90's.

It has been at least 15 years since we have sat face to face and had a long conversation.

We discuss September 11th 2001, gun control among many others.

The focus that brought us back together was the tragic loss of Matt's brother.

I am a lifelong martial artist and self made business owner. I checked out of school at 16. Finished on my own. Studied books and videos after seeing Bruce Lee. Formed my own fight team. Trained and fought our way to the highest competitive combat levels. That fight team became a full time business, Hard Drive Performance Center. I currently am a full-time coach/trainer as is my brother Erik who still competes in the UFC.
